Frogs - The Green and Golden Bell Frog

Commissioned by Vanuatu Post the issue was released in 2011 and commemorated the Green and Golden Bell Frog (Litoria aurea) which was introduced to Vanuatu around 1960 to help with mosquito control.  It has now become established on several of the archipelago's islands, especially Espiritu Santo, where it occurs in wetlands, ponds and agricultural landscapes and is now a familiar part of the island's introduced fauna and has a healthy appetite for insects.
