Collection: NATURAL HISTORY PAINTINGS

My training as a scientific illustrator allows me to cover several different genres of natural history. Working from living specimens or working with scientific institutions like the Natural History Museum in London and Tring or the Smithsonian Institute in the US allows me access to accurate reference material.

Topics range from private commissions as with the beautiful silk Rothschildia erycina or recording endangered species with the endemic Short-tailed bat Mystacina tuberculata that is now in the Auckland Museum collection. I used a full chicken skeleton to create a protest piece “Battery Driven”  against battery hens and covered several topics from insects, fish, fruit bat, fogs and birds over 50 stamp issues for 10 Pacific countries.
